Khairat Development Projects is dedicated to uplifting communities in Kenya’s coastal region through a series of impactful, community-driven initiatives. Guided by its mission to improve the quality of life for marginalized and vulnerable populations, the organization focuses on addressing key areas such as education, healthcare, water and sanitation, religious education, and community development.
Each project is designed to respond to the unique needs of the communities it serves, ensuring that solutions are locally relevant, sustainable, and inclusive. Khairat Development Projects believes that empowering individuals through access to basic services and opportunities is the foundation for long-term social and economic development.
From building schools and health clinics to providing clean water and enhancing religious education, Khairat Development Projects works hand in hand with local communities, government entities, and other stakeholders to create lasting, positive change. These projects aim to not only improve immediate living conditions but also to empower future generations with the knowledge, resources, and skills they need to thrive.
Education
- Scholarships and financial aid for underprivileged students
- Building and renovating schools and community learning centers.
- Providing school supplies, books, and educational materials.
Masjid and Madrasa
- Building, renovating, and maintaining mosques (masjids) and religious schools (madrasas) to serve as centers of worship, learning, and community development.
- Providing resources and support for religious education, including books, materials, and qualified teachers.
- Organizing religious and cultural events, workshops, and seminars to promote social cohesion, peace, and spiritual growth.
Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)
- Constructing clean water supply systems, including wells and boreholes.
- Installing sanitation facilities in schools and communities.
- Conducting hygiene education workshops and training.
Mas-haf Distribution
- Helping students have better mas-haf in Madrasa
- Building and renovating schools and community learning centers.
- Providing school supplies, books, and educational materials.
Food Distributions
- Every Ramadhan
- Areas affected by drought
- Remote areas where there is food scarcity
Sanda (Kafan) Distribution
- We distribute Sanda to those who cannot afford
Udh-hiya & Meat Distribution
- Every year we do Udh-hiya (slaughtering of goats, cows or camels) for our donors and distribute the meat to muslims in Rural settlements in Coastal region of Kenya.
Healthcare
- Organizing free medical camps and health screenings.
- Promoting maternal and child health programs.
- HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention programs
Economic Empowerment
- Vocational training programs for youth and women.
- Microfinance and entrepreneurship development.
- Supporting local small businesses and cooperatives.
